Bernard "Butch" Bost

Bernard L. "Butch" Bost, age 84 passed away on August 27th, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1941 to the late Harry and Virginia Bost. He leaves behind his wife Beverly (Clary) Bost. He is also survived by a son, Bryan Bost and daughter, Melissa Bost; grandchildren, Dylan Bost, Jeremiah Park, Nickolas Mercer, and Ivy Bost; great-grandchildren, Jaxton Bost, Hayden Park, and Lilly Mercer; one brother, Joe (Patricia) Bost; three sisters, Julie (Brian) Bisetti, Jennifer (Pete) Bennett, and Patsy Bryan; sister-in-laws, Rosemary Clary and Diane Bost, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Marshall and brothers Jeff and Keith Bost.

Butch retired from Mead where he had worked for 41 years. He was a past President and Chief Steward of Local 731 Union. He was also a past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #52. A member and volunteer at the Eagles, VFW, and the American Legion #62. Butch was a memebr of the Veterans Council doing whatever he could to help Veterans, especially during the holidays.

During his retirement years, Butch was a valet parking attendant at Adena Hospital. He enjoyed meeting people and staying active. He loved his family, friends, his cats, and Michigan Football.

He will be missed for his never ending energy and that he never gave up on a good fight. The family would also like to thank the ER and Intensive Care doctors and nurses for their care of Butch during this difficult time.

In accordance with Butch's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no funeral and a memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
