Bernadette Beverly

Bernadette Beverly, 85, of Frankfort, died 5:15 am, February 27, 2014, at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born October 23, 1928 in Ross Co. to the late Donald and Mary Watkins Brown. On September 16, 1947 she married Essie E. "Gene" Beverly, who died October 11, 2007. Survivors include her children, Linda Haithcock, Raleigh, NC, Toni (Carl) Hitchens, and Richard (April) Beverly, of Frankfort, Randy (Christy) Beverly, of Chillicothe, and Michael (Valerie) Beverly, of Tipp City, OH; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren, 3 great, great-grandchildren; and brothers, William and Richard Brown. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen McClain, and three siblings, Maxine Thomas, Marjorie Austin, and Donald Brown. Mrs. Beverly loved reading and writing poetry. She enjoyed walking around Frankfort. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church, District Elder Melvin Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.
