Barbara Titler

Barbara Rae Titler, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday morning, November 13, 2021 at her home, following an extended illness.

She was born July 26, 1940, in Chillicothe, daughter of the late Hasadore and Gusta (Estep) Montgomery. On October 23, 1960, she married her beloved husband, Rodney Dale Titler, who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Crystal (Jeff) Davis, and Stephen (Beth) Titler; grandchildren, Alexandra, Nathan (Ciera) and Victoria Davis, and Benjamin and Joseph Titler; two great-granddaughters, Roslyn and Adalyn Davis; two siblings, Michael (Nancy) Montgomery, and Daniel (Donna) Montgomery; two sisters-in-law, Tona (Gary) Howard, and Connie Titler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, R. Douglas Titler, a nephew, Todd Montgomery, a brother-in-law, Rev David Titler, and her father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Jean Titler.

Barbara's smile was the brightest. The light it shined along with her love for hosting created a lifetime of memories for all of those who were dear to her. Barbara had steadfast faith and she and her husband, Rodney, were active members of First Wesleyan Church and Acts Believe Church. Barbara will be remembered for her gentleness, heartwarming hugs, and loving soul. Her light will forever shine.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor B.J. Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service.
