Barbara Strausbaugh

Barbara Ann "Toots" Strausbaugh, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away Sunday morning, November 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.
She was born May 12, 1937, in Little Birch, West Virginia, daughter of the late Frank Freeman and Eloise (Moore) Farnham. On December 27, 2008, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Strausbaugh, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Vicki (Harry) Conrad, Tim (Ginny) Retherford, Jodi Brown, Tami (Dan) Stern, and Tressa Strausbaugh; her son-in-law, Dale Graves; as well as numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the father of her children, Clifford "Bill" Retherford; her daughters, Anita Graves, and Debra Fournier; her grandson, Bradley Fournier; her brother, Robert Freeman; and her sister, Judy Evans.
Bobbi worked at Neffs Hallmark store in Chillicothe for several years. She went on to work at Quik Clean Dry Cleaning for many years before retiring from the workforce. In her free time, she loved making quilts, baking pies and treats, and she especially loved making hardtack candy with her family. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at National Church Residences for all of their love and care throughout Bobby's illness.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Haller Funeral Home with Wes Molebash officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday.
