Barbara L. Puffer, 70, of Chillicothe, died at 9:41am, April 15, 2016, at her residence following brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 12, 1945, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Walter E. and A. Lorraine Conklin Mucha. She was raised in Wheelersburg, OH and graduated in 1963 from Wheelersburg High School. On November 14, 1964, she married Robert J. Puffer, who survives. Also surviving are their 3 children: Kim (Walt) Eberst, Westerville, OH, Matt (Renee) Puffer, Louisville, KY, and Andrew Puffer, Reynoldsburg; grandchildren: Ellen and Grant Eberst, Keegan, Cole and Ethan Puffer, and Chase and Avery Puffer; her brother Michael (Jane) Mucha, niece Leigh Ann (Dan) Schmidt; and nephew Eric (Tammy) Mucha; and numerous friends and colleagues. Barb had been a resident of Chillicothe for 49 years, where she raised her family and had a thriving real estate career. She began her career in 1978 and worked for Coldwell Banker, Century 21 and Kear Realty agencies and was a member of Scioto Valley Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. As much as she was dedicated to her career, it was second to her dedication to husband and family. She enjoyed doing everything with them: vacationing, traveling, shopping and family dinners. She especially enjoyed her grandkids' activities, socializing with friends, dancing, card club, arts and crafts and simply taking walks and holding hands with Bob. The family would like to thank all of the outpouring of love and support shown to them over the last several weeks. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Tuesday, April 19, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home and Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
