Barbara Liggins

Barbara M. Liggins, 81, went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2021, at 1:57 A.M. with her devoted husband and loving son by her side, at their home.

On January 6, 1968, she was united in marriage to Larry E Liggins. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son Larry A. (Chanel) Liggins who was her pride and joy and one grandchild, Isaiah Liggins. Barbara was a special grandmother to Jr,Sara,Nikki, Makiah, Ashton, Ashlynn & Rockwell.  Barbara leaves behind four sisters, Tula Moody, Chillicothe, Valla Allen, Columbus, Tarza Greene and Worletta Mask of Chillicothe; two brothers Floyd (Karen) Netter II, Chillicothe, and Bill (Joyce) Netter, Portsmouth; two sister-n-laws, Patricia Sewards, Chillicothe and Marsha Thomas, Columbus; one special niece, her namesake, Barbara M. Netter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  In addition to her parents, Myrtle and Floyd E. Netter I, she was predeceased by sisters, Vera and Kathy.


Barbara was affiliated with New Life Christian Church and a member of The Original Glorious Church of God in Christ where services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, July 23, 2021, with Bishop Melvin Maughmer, Elder Michael Maughmer and Pastor Victor Cousins of New Life Christian Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call 11:00 - 1:00 Friday at the church.  To honor Barbara's memory the family has requested that all ladies attending the service to please wear their best Sunday hat.  Her online memorial register is available at www.HallerFuneralHome.com.
