Barbara Horn

Barbara A. Horn, 67, of Chillicothe, died at 10:20pm December 26, 2013, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born October 22, 1946, in Waverly, OH, to the late Samuel and Evelyn J. (Aberts) Hamilton. On August 3, 1968, she married Donald L. Horn, who preceded her in death on January 3, 1990. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law: Ret. Navy Chief Petty Officer David Horn, of Chillicothe; Active Duty Navy Chief Petty Officer Danny (Alicia) Horn, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren: Kirstie, Josh and his companion Morgan Greer, and Kaleigh Horn, all of Chillicothe; Justin Horn of Virginia Beach; and Dakota Horn, of Colorado; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins and friends, including a special friend Jan Arledge. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an infant brother. Barbara was a graduate of Waverly High School, Class of 1964, and of Marshall University. She worked as a registered nurse with Adena Health System for over 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Nurses Guild. Barbara was an avid traveler and camper. She loved the outdoors and trips to the beach, especially with the grandkids. Funeral services will be held at Noon, Monday December 30, at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from Sunday from 2-4pm at Haller Funeral Home.
