Ashley M. McCullough, 19, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly March 15, 2016, in Gallup, NM, while serving her passion of missions and saving lost souls. She was born May 29, 1996, in Chillicothe, OH, and graduated with honors in 2015 from Zane Trace High School. She then defied her medical condition and fulfilled her dream to attend Indiana Bible College. Ashley is survived by her mother and step-father Beth (James) Pontious, Waverly; father and step-mother Shannon (Teresa) McCullough, Chillicothe; her paternal grandmother Pauline "Mammie" McCullough, who helped raise and care for her; maternal grandparents Kim Ferguson and Tim Benson; her siblings Joseph Earles, Timothy Weaver, Nicole Bowen, Megan Williams, Jessica McCullough, Kelly McCullough, McKinzie Pontious, Scott Pontious, Trey Pontious and Dallas Pontious; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, including special uncle and aunt Shane and Chasity McCullough and special cousin Draden McCullough. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather David "Pappy" McCullough; paternal grandmother Opal Boyer; and maternal great-grandparents Bonnie and Bob Woods. Ashley was a member of Yellowbud Church of Jesus Christ, Cornerstone Church, and Calvary Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis. She liked to fish and hunt, she played the piano and saxophone and also sang. She was quoted as saying, "God is good and He is faithful. I will accomplish what He has purposed for me." When asked how she was doing, she responded "Blessed and favored." Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with the Indiana Bible College Ministry and Pastor Joey Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
