Anthony Mcquay

November 21, 1943 — January 12, 2006

Anthony "Tony" D. McQuay Anthony "Tony" D. McQuay, 62, of Chillicothe, taken by the Lord, 8:48pm Thursday, January 12, 2006, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born November 21, 1943 in Chillicothe to Lloyd M. McQuay and Geraldine Cottrill McQuay Henry. On June 4, 1964 he married Shirley L. Bennett. In addition to his mother and wife, survivors include two daughters, Tammy K. (Chris) Karr, and Michelle A. (Joseph) Corcoran, both of Chillicothe; a son, Tony McQuary Jr. and his friend Dixie Mollenkopf, of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren, Kody and Kaley McQuay, Annamarie and Cole Karr, and Benjamin, Luke and Macy Corcoran; two brothers, Marty (Della) McQuay, and David (Mary) McQuay; two sisters, Treva (Skip) Moretti and Fenetta McQuay; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Larry Jones Jr.; and a special lifelong friend Kenny Howard. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. McQuay served in the United States Army. He retired after 33 years of service as a welder and member of the Boilermakers' Union Local 105; was a member of the FOE Aerie 600, was an avid camper and NASCAR fan. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being with his brothers-in-law, buddies and euchre gang. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2006 in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday and one hour prior to the service at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 667 Vernon Dr., Chillicothe, OH 45601, in honor of one of his grandchildren.
