Anthony Howard

Anthony Howard, 71, of Chillicothe, died 10:09 am, Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.   He was born March 8, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH. Survivors include his mother, Bernice Carroll, of Cincinnati; his children, Scott A. Howard, Sr., Lori L. Howard, JaMarcus A. Carroll and Jaylen M. Carroll, all of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Shields and a sister, Gina Carroll.   Tony was a veteran of the US Air Force, a former Chillicothe Police officer and retired from Kenworth Truck Company. He enjoyed golf, football, basketball and boxing.   Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held 3:30 pm Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Soldier's Square.
