Annika Miller

Annika Lynn Miller, 17, of South Salem, was gathered up into the arms of our Lord in heaven Thursday, December 1, 2016, as a result of a single car accident on Upper Twin Rd. Annika was born on May 5, 1999 in Chillicothe OH, to Keith Miller, formerly of Jeffersonville, OH and Melanie (Leeth) Miller, formerly of Washington Courthouse, OH, of South Salem, who survive. Also surviving are her two sisters Ashley (Zachary) Matson of Bainbridge, OH and Amber Patterson of South Salem, OH; her brother Austin Miller of South Salem, OH; her nephew, Trace Matson; new niece Claire Matson, (who is to be born any day now); her niece Alex Patterson; paternal grandfather, Phil Miller, of Sabina, OH; maternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Leeth, of South Salem, OH; her great-grandmother, Shirley Miller, of London, OH; and numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and so many close friends. Annika was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Miller. Annika was a carefree spirit with a sassy personality; shy at first, but once you got to know her she was an open book, never knowing what she was going to say. She was active in school, an honor roll student, and a member of the arts and science club. She also enjoyed her time working at Danbury Theater and spending her free time with her long time boyfriend Garrett. Annika was a 4-H member, indulging her love of horses. Barrel competition was by far her favorite. Riding Astro, her white horse, with no fear, she truly enjoyed every minute. Her memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Paint Valley High School. Calling hours will not be observed.
