Anna Marie Shelhart, 94, of Frankfort, passed away at on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Heartland Nursing Home in Chillicothe, Ohio.
She was born May 15, 1928, to the late Bohumil and Aloise Susil in Blacklick, Ohio. On August 2, 1947, she married Oscar J. Shelhart, Jr., and were married for 63 years before his passing on December 20, 2010.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Patricia) Shelhart, of Wright City, MO; sister, Agnes Evans; sister-in-law Ginny Susil, daughter-in-law Brenda Shelhart; and grandchildren, James Shelhart, Bobby Shelhart LaFontaine, Danielle Shelhart, Ruth Shelhart Holleran, Stephanie Shelhart Gohring, Tracy Shelhart, Amy Shelhart Lee, and Cari Shelhart Brodess, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Teresa Shelhart, James Shelhart, and Jerry Shelhart as well as brothers John Susil, Frank Susil, Joe Susil, and sisters Mary Simco, Louise Bobb, Francis Wesley, and Mildred Susil.
Anna loved the outdoors, especially growing flowers and vegetables. In winter she was an avid deer hunter with her family and spent many happy hours not only hunting, but cooking for the many friends and family who came to "deer camp". She was also an accomplished seamstress, and at one time managed the House of Fabrics store in Westland Mall in Columbus.
Anna was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Chillicothe.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
