Anna Marie Carnes Kuhn, 97, of Chillicothe, passed away November 14, 2022, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born to the late Joseph Nelson and Ruth Morris Morgan of Vinton Co. On November 28, 1942 she married Branson B. Carnes, her high school sweetheart, who preceded her in death February 24, 1988. On January 8, 2004 she married the late Earl M. Kuhn, who preceded her in death November 4, 2020. Surviving are daughters Emily A. Carnes Carmean, Kingston, Sandra L. Carnes Nunn, Kettering, and Beverly Carnes (Lee) Overly, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jason (Susan) Nunn, Lindsay (Mark) Nunn Depore, Mark (Lisa) Overly, Meredith (Zach Gozy) Overly; great-grandchildren, Laura Wintersteen, and Camaro and Chevelle Payne; special nieces Linda Ewart Cook, Tracy (Dan) Morgan Haubeil, and Lisa (Mike Lemon) Morgan; very special cousins, Lane and Margaret Graves; step-daughters, Terri Crawford and Beretta Prince; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd A. Carmean; siblings, Joann Allen and Robert Morgan; and two nephews, Walter Frank Allen and Jack Eutsler.
Marie grew up in Vinton Co. and came to Chillicothe at the age of 17. She was a beautician in Chillicothe for many years, during the 1960's and 1970's. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. She loved her family most of all, and was loved by many. She enjoyed life and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Monday at HALLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to Walnut St. United Methodist Church, 16 S. Walnut St., Chillicothe, OH 45601
