Anna Gire

Anna Ruth Gire, 82, of Waverly, died at 10:40am Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Pike Community Hospital. She was born August 13, 1923, in Chillicothe, to the late John and Hazel (Brannan) Bendure. In December 1947, she married Paul W. Gire, Sr., who preceded her in death May 11, 1972. Surviving are her son Paul W. Gire, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law Mary Susan (Neil) Uhrig, all of Chillicothe; and Valerie K. (Bo) Arnett, Waverly; grandchildren: Michael Donahue, Paul W. Gire III, Joshua S. Gire; Jason, Kellie, and Kyle Uhrig; Kaci Bo, and Trevor Arnett; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Della (Gene) Ferrell, Zanesville; and a brother-in-law WIlliam Babb, Sr., Indiana. She was predeceased by an infant son Jeffery Dean Gire; a brother Everett Bendure and a sister Mary Babb. Mrs. Gire was a retired Registered Nurse from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center following 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 16, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon until 2:00pm at Haller Funeral Home.
