Anna Bateson

Anna H. Bateson, 76, of Chillicothe, died at 12:37pm October 10, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.    She was born August 29, 1946, in Chicago, IL to the late Cecil and Florence (Hader) Graves.  On October 8, 1967, she married Richard A. Bateson, who survives.   Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Michele (Larry) Blaum, of Waverly; granddaughter Lauren (Randall) Hieneman, also of Waverly; great-grandson Randall "Trey" Hieneman III, and a great-granddaughter Dahlia Hieneman, expected in February; her sister Sandra (Robert) Johnson, Lancaster; and brothers Joseph Graves, Grove City, and William "Andy" Graves, Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by her stillborn son Richard Bateson, Jr.; her parents; and a sister-in-law Rose Graves.   Anna worked for Adena Health System in the record keeping department until 2014.  She attended the First Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family.   Her funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, Oct. 14, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jason Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from Noon until 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
