Angeline Hendershot

Angeline A. "Angie" Hendershot, 80, died at 4:00am April 2, 2016, Signature Healthcare of Chillicothe. She was born October 14, 1935, in Ross County to the late Lyell T. and Miriam E. Henderson McCarty. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Karen (Doug) Facemire, Chillicothe, Barbara (Jim) Johnston, Laurelville; son and daughter-in-law John (Tawny) Hendershot, South Salem; grandchildren: Shawn and Dustin Martindale, Brandon Johnston, Amy Bonham, Zach, Wesley, Jamie, Cody, and Delainie Hendershot; 2 step-grandchildren: Stephanie Houck and Byron Facemire; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law Tammy Hendershot, Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews; and many friends including special friends Pat Merritt, Mary Lou Strawser and Helen Borland. She was predeceased by her son Michael Hendershot; her parents; her former husband John C. Hendershot; brothers John, Volney and Ronald McCarty; and sisters Audrey Messer, Betty Burnett and Evelyn White. Angie was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1953. She worked as a switchboard operator for Adena Regional Medical Center for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Village and Signature Healthcare for their care. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund @ Wesleyan Church, 89 S.
