Amy N. Rippeth, 45, of Chillicothe, died at 9:35am February 14, 2018, at the James Cancer Center, OSU, Columbus, following a 12-year courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born November 17, 1972, in Chillicothe to Charles L. and Cora E. (Kepler) Hinty. Amy is survived by her father and step-mother Charles "Chuck" and Kathy Hinty; her sons Christian Dunkle; and Luke and Landon Rippeth; Luke and Landon's father and Amy's longtime companion Tim Rippeth, all of Chillicothe; her siblings: Larry and Mendy Hinty, Misty and John Gamerdinger, Melissa Hill, Andrew and Gloria Hinty, Paul and Charlene Hinty and Katie Hampp; several nieces and nephews; and many friends including special friends Monica McKee and Shana Huddleston. She was predeceased by her mother; an aunt Diane Kery; and a sister-in-law Edna Hinty. Amy was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1991 and then earned her bachelor's degree from Franklin University. She had worked as a supervisor at Kenworth Truck Co. Amy encouraged others with her bright smile and resolve throughout her battle. A Celebration of her life will be held at 10am Monday, February 19, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Michon Ekvall officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5pm Sunday at the funeral home and are encouraged to "dress comfortable and come as you are."
