On June 9, 2026, Amy Jo (Bouillion) Long unexpectedly passed away peacefully at her home. She was born on July 29, 1968, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Amy’s life was marked by her sparkling style, wicked golf game and a talent for building connections wherever she went.
Family and Survivors - Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (Leedom) Bouillion, and her father, Martin Bouillion. She is survived by her sisters, Kathy King (Terry King) and Beth Richards (Don Richards); her brother, Chris Bouillion (Jemma Bouillion); and many nieces and nephews. Amy had two beautiful children. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Long; son, Preston Lynch; and by her grandchildren, Emerson, Griffin, and Fletcher. She was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of Grandbaby #4 in September 2026.
Teaching, and Service - Amy leaves behind a wide circle of friends from across the world. She taught English to children while living in Japan, China, and Dubai, among other places, and her international experiences helped her form lasting friendships in many communities. After returning home, Amy trained and became a medical coder for Adena and VA Hospitals.
Adventures and a Shared Love of Life - When Amy wasn’t working, she loved adventures with her partner, Walt Eberst. For about eight years, they traveled, boated, golfed, and enjoyed time together—while also making space for family and friends. Amy Jo Bouillion will be remembered for her warm smile, her global adventures and her wonderful hospitality.
Friends can visit with the family and help celebrate Amy’s life on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Ohio.
