Amelia Barrentine

August 30, 1943 — June 22, 2024

Amelia Dee (Riley) Barrentine, 80, of Chillicothe, passed away early Saturday morning, June 22, 2024, following an extended illness.

She was born August 30, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Delbert E. and Madeline M. (Comstock) Riley.

Surviving are her children, Frankie Dee Sterling (Buzz) Perri, Patrick Jacob (Loretta) Terry, and Krystl Madeline Lorene Gutierrez; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Perri, Stefan Perri, Kyle Terry-Stowe, Patricia Richardson, Rene "Alex" Gutierrez, Israel Galvon, Mercedes Castillo, Cruz Castillo, Adrian Torres, Rey Escalera, and Elijah Salazar; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Pedro Gutierrez, Jr., and a brother, Patrick Jacob Riley.

Amelia was a graduate of the Hocking School of Nursing, where she obtained her RN and worked for many years in the medical field.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Walnut Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Therese Lehman officiating. The family requests for everyone in attendance to wear purple in honor of Ameila!
