Amanda Davis

Amanda J. Davis, 23, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 9:40am, June 12, 2010, at her home following a very courageous battle with brain cancer.   She was born June 11, 1987, in Chillicothe to Stephen G. and Kathy D. (Winters) Davis, who survive.   Also surviving are her brother, Jeff Davis, Chillicothe; maternal grandmother Barb Winters, Clarksburg, WV; paternal grandparents Gerald (Joanne) Davis, Loudon, TN; nephew Bryce Davis, New Boston, OH; niece Madison Davis, Chillicothe; aunts and uncles Jeff & Julia Price, Loudon, TN; and Richard and Regina Winters, Norfolk, VA; and her canine friends, "Sawyer," "Ruby," and "Bella."   She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Richard Winters and Nancy Winters; and her aunt, Crystal Stemple.   Amanda was a graduate of Paint Valley High School, Class of 2005.   She had worked at Krogers and more recently loved working with animals as a kennel technician for North Fork Animal Clinic.   She was member of the Waverly Church of Christ.   Throughout her illness, Amanda managed to amaze her family and friends and became a hero to many.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, June 16, in the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Williams officiating.   Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.   Friends may call from 6-8pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home.
