Alta Sparks

Alta M. Sparks, 85, of Chillicothe, died at 3:30pm Monday, April 1, 2013, at Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born February 15, 1928, in Blaine, KY, to the late David R. and Katherine Medley Sparks. In September of 1950, she married Darrell E. Sparks, who preceded her in death in January 1992. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Debbie Sparks; Greg and Teresa Sparks, all of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law Jinny and Steve Hertenstein, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Leah Sparks; Ian Hertenstein and Noah Hertenstein; and her brother and sister-in-law Leslie and Ann Sparks, Grove City, OH. She was predeceased by her brothers: Conn, Gustah, Rupert, Maxwell, Faldo and Otha; and a sister Goldie. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 4, in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Tony Lambert officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
