Allyson R. Barber, 43, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly September 9, 2021, at her residence.   She was born April 3, 1978, in Marion, IN, to I. Allen Barber, II and Marlene E. (Martin) Melby.   Surviving are her parents: Marlene Martin Melby and Richard Melby, Canal Winchester, OH; I. Allen Barber, II and LoRetta Archuleta, Aurora, CO; she has two sisters: Megan Lea Melby-Browning (Tim Browning), Upper Arlington, OH, and Melissa Barber Black (Rod Black), Columbus, OH.  Allyson is also survived by Aunt Mary Ellen Martin, Canal Winchester, OH, and Uncle John Martin (Carolyn), Hilton Head Island, SC; Uncle Darrell Barber, Aunt Carol Barber (Tony), Marion, IN. She also has a large extended family by marriage of the Melby and Archuleta families: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Allyson was a very proud aunt to Andrew and Gabe Black; Emma Lea, Rajiv and Arjun Bhatt.  She was predeceased by her Grandparents: Irving A. and Ruth Green Barber, Eldon R. and Emma Lea Martin, Earl L. Melby, Aunt Jane (Martin) Breedlove, Uncle Larry Barber and Cousin Brandon Melby.   Allyson came into this world with a strong will. She needed it to fight the many battles she faced and she did it with grace and dignity, always with a smile and an infectious laugh. Allyson faced her life with the bravery of a seasoned soldier. There wasn't much she wouldn't try. When she struggled, she laughed at herself, when she succeeded, she celebrated and wanted you to celebrate with her. She lived her life the way she wanted to live it. She loved God, family, music, people, animals, poetry, journaling, reading and singing. She was fearless.   A private Celebration of her life will be held with family and friends.
