Alice Giffin

Alice Iva Giffin, 86, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2016. She was born to the late George Lapp and Myrtle Richards Lapp on February 6, 1930 in Morrow, Ohio. Alice is survived by her daughters, Marie Daniels, of Chillicothe, Lovena (Ron) Morgan, of Jacksonville, FL, and son-in-law David Waring of Chillicothe. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, a number of other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Giffin, a daughter Marjorie (David) Waring, and a grandson Rusty Daniels of Chillicothe. Alice is a long-time Chillicothe resident and was loved dearly by her family. She courageously battled cancer over the last several months. She was proud to "ring the bell" following her treatment: once softly for herself and very loudly for her daughter Marjorie. Alice's request has been honored to donate her body to Ohio State University for medical research. There will be a private burial at a later date. The family wishes to thank all of those who provided her care and morale support over the last several months.
