Alice Conley Beyerly, born October 24, 1914, in Dundas, Ohio to Claude R. and Grace McGee Conley, peacefully passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, May 24, 2005 . She graduated from Chillicothe High School, Class of 1932. She once worked in the offices of Western Southern Life Insurance Co. and the law office of Luther B. Yaple. She was married to Wade J. Beyerly April 9, 1938, who died in November of 1989, and lived in Dayton, OH from 1938-1947 where they had two sons, Wade Jackson (Jack) and William Roger (Bill). She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a fifty year member and a Ruling Elder, Order of the Eastern Star, New Century Club, Story Place Garden Club, and Ohio State University Mothers Club. She was also very active in Boy Scouts, Jaycee Ladies Golf Association, Meshed Circle and Presbymates. She was for years the office manager of Public Transport Co. and Chillicothe Willys (Jeep) Sales. An avid sports fan, she loved golfing and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, sisters Enid Welsh and Betty Baer, brothers James, Claude, and Kenneth; and daughter-in-law Martha Newton Beyerly. She is survived by her sons, Jack of Summerfield, Florida, and Bill and his wife Carol of Marlborough, Connecticut; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: USAF Major Bruce A. (and Lori) Beyerly of Stafford, Virginia, and their children Andy and Carrie; Robert N. (and Christy) Beyerly and their daughter Kelsey of Parker, Colorado; Mark Beyerly of Fairfield, Connecticut; Amy (and Jeff) Gabriele of Boston, Massachusetts; Kevin Beyerly of Manchester, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday in Grandview Cemetery, Rev. James Grove officiating. A memorial service will follow in the First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am. Friends may call 6-8 pm Thursday evening in the Haller Funeral Home, where a 7:30 pm Eastern Star service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Chillicothe Memorial Fund, 13 Mead Drive, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
