Addison Kottenbrook

June 18, 2009 — January 3, 2024

Addison Rose Kottenbrook age 14, the oldest daughter of Chas & Tracy (Baxter) Kottenbrook left her family's arms and went into the arms of Jesus on January 3, 2024.

Addi Rose, Rose Bud, Addi Swiper (no swiping Addi), Princess, Sis, Beautiful Girl, Ruler of all things Kottenbrook, left a huge hole in her earthly family while taking her place with her heavenly family. Now we have to admit that we are laughing and taking great glee, oh I mean comfort in what we believe is taking place with her siblings who were waiting for her in Heaven. Randy will love her immediately as this is his first time meeting her. Randy will not accept any of the warnings or stories given by Noah, who is much younger. Although Noah knows the full scoop on his swiped monkeys. Kaydee will think she isn't willing to lose the title of most assertive sibling and we are darn sure to know there will be loud negotiations, with Addison taking the lead of bossing the brothers. Well Collin is a teenager, he was the newest arrival to Heaven with all the stories of Addis shenanigans. Then here comes Addi to move Collin out of his spot once again, as always.

Addi forgot to tell her siblings she left with MomMom and Da how to control the house. So Brenton doesn't have to boop noses with or coax to say "nite" every night. Brenton doesn't have to go behind the parents and change the tv channel or volume as she wanted it and required. Or sneak extra toys to her when the parents weren't looking. Bailey doesn't know why her stuff isn't getting swiped, Addi isn't here to kiss her, hug her, and demand selfies of the two of them several times a day. Keagan is lost without Addi telling him in her syllables of grunts what to do but the biggest concern is who is Keagan going to blame for all his shenanigans now?? After all, Addi always had her own list of daily shenanigans, what was a few more added on by Keagan? Well, that was until Mom would ask Addi, Addi would give KeeKee all the syllables and "the look" that had more power than anything Mom or Dad could ever bring to the table. Addi laughed at Mom's "look". Keagan always looked out for Addi even though she was in control. If you ask him if Addi is scary bossy? He would whisper….yes. Clay who is never worried about what anybody thinks would change his ways rapidly when Addi gave "the look" with her syllables and all the siblings listened. Mom and Dad would have loved to have learned the language and the technique but it wasn't meant to be. Addi did not reveal her secrets of that special power. Dani (Queen Baby) doesn't understand why her toys are not being swiped, her forehead isn't being kissed and her cheeks aren't being patted. Mom and Dad are sure Addi gave secret information and strategies for Dani to follow in Addison Rose's foot steps and take over for the family.

Addison was so very wanted and loved by her mom Tracy that the house exploded with pink, silk and lace when the twenty-three year wait for a daughter ended. Well Daddy just didn't know what happened. Addi came home at less than five pounds and wrapped him right around her finger. Dad was constantly looking for fun items in his chair or in his cup, after he drank it there would often be a surprise from Addi in there. Addi was constantly giving us gifts from her bag of what knots, goodies and swiped items she carried everywhere. We don't know how we will manage without all the nose boops, kisses and hugs that Addi gave her servants; I mean family daily.

Addi leaves aunts, uncles and cousins behind who know the wonders of her hugs. Pa (Grandpa) Charles Kottenbrook Jr., Grandpa Daniel Baxter and Grandma Diana Baxter will be missing those hugs. Addison was predeceased by Grandma Linda Kottenbrook.

There is not one inch of Addis castle (the Kottenbrook home) that Addi hasn't swiped or stashed items in. We are sure that we will be laughing at found items for months to come.

Princess Addison was served and loved by her nurses Megan Kocheran, Amanda Carroll and Gretchen Hoberty. Addison gave them great love in return, along with a lot of sass and teenage attitude.

A special thank you goes out to Nationwide Children's Palliative and Hospice team who lovingly met Addison's and the family's needs. There will be a private funeral service and burial under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
