Adam Matthew Yerardi passed away following a lengthy illness on December 9, 2025 at 11:54pm. He was present at home in Chillicothe, OH with his mom and dad at his side.
Adam was born on May 29, 1982 in Columbus, OH to Michael and Ruth (Schroeder) Yerardi who survive. Also surviving are his brothers Patrick McCarty of Mt. Sterling, Anthony Yerardi of Chillicothe, Andrew Yerardi of Portsmouth, Jason (Kathleen) Yerardi of Charleston, and sister Tricia (Nathan) Whittaker of Seattle. He is survived by precious aunts and uncles including Roy Schroeder, Mary (Steve) Seal, Georgia Schroeder, Patty Schroeder McDaniel, Theresa Heitzenrater, Samuel (Cheryl) Yerardi, Mary McArthur, and Becky (Bill) Dunham. He also had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by beloved grandparents Walter and Gladys (Betts) Schroeder of McArthur and Ross and Norma (Ramey) Yerardi of Portsmouth, and Uncle Frank (Nancy) Yerardi of Portsmouth.
Adam graduated from Unioto High School and attended Ohio University. He was very creative and enjoyed working with art mediums, from pencils to digital design. Adam mastered playing the guitar after only a few lessons. He loved playing solos as comfort. His favorite band was Metallica and he even got to meet them face to face. As he became more ill, he loved watching the Food Network, investigative shows, and game shows. He loved solving puzzles on Wheel of Fortune before his mom figured them out — that happened a lot! In his final days,
Adam’s heart was filled with hope, looking to that day when he would meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in eternity. He will be loved and deeply missed by his mom and dad forever. A special thank you to Advanced Hospice of Ohio and DaVita Dialysis.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 27, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Mike White officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
