Ada Zimmerman

Ada M. Zimmerman, 72, of Chillicothe, passed away at 5:54am Friday, January 10, 2014, at home following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born March 18, 1941, in Ross County to the late Herbert and Oretha (McCoy) Chandler. On October 3, 1964, she married Thurman L. Zimmerman, who survives. Also surviving are her children: Anna M. Zimmerman; Thurman H. Zimmerman; Novella L. Ball; Kyle J.P. Zimmerman, all of Chillicothe; Herbert T. Zimmerman, York, PA; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Carolina Leigh, of Cincinnati; twin sisters Ernestine and Geraldine Chandler; brothers James "Pat" (Donna) Chandler and William "Bill" Chandler, all of Columbus; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter Abreigh Jo Brown; sisters Joann Magill and Dorothy Dobbins; and brothers Timothy and David Chandler. Ada was a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 1959. She received her Associate Degree from Hocking College and retired in June of 2013 from RCI where she worked as a food service coordinator. She was an avid bow hunter of turkey and deer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eden Baptist Church Cemetery, Pike Co. Friends may call Monday from 11am until 1pm at Haller Funeral Home.
