Ada Scott

Ada M. Scott, 72, of Chillicothe, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, June 8, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1941 in Chillicothe to the late Walter and Virginia Hill Wingo. She was the widow of Melvin Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers, Larry, Timothy, Richard and Joe Wingo. She is survived by her sisters, Marian Turner and Dorothy Stone; two brothers, Chester and James Wingo. Mrs. Scott worked as a nursing assistant for several years. Her most enjoyable moments were getting together with family and friends. Her nieces and nephews were like her children and she loved them one and all. Special thanks to the Adena ICU staff and to 2A night shift staff members, Ashley and Brittany. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ, Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11 am to 1 pm Thursday at the church.
