Ada Elinor Hughes, 91, of Chillicothe, died 8:59 am, September 26, 2020, at her home, following a brief illness.
She was born April 11, 1929 in Chillicothe to the late Albert Frederick and Ada Marie Blain Schrader. On April 11, 1950 she married James Curtis Hughes, who died April 23, 1981. Survivors include two children, Mary Hughes and Michael (Cathy) Hughes, both of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Aaron (Abbie) Hughes and Andrew (Brittni) Hughes; and a great-grandchild, Cassandra Hughes; and three brothers, Albert (Elsie), Jack (Wanda) and Richard (Janice) Schrader. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Caroline Lawhorn, Kathryn Brown, Anna Stauffer, Edna Doyle, Helen Seymour, Robert, Naomi, Frederick, Patricia and Thomas Schrader.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:30 am Thursday in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Pastor Steve Good officiating. The family requests you wear casual clothing to the service, as if you were stopping by the house to visit Ada. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to NCR Hospice, 681 E. Third St. Waverly, OH 45690.
