A. Kennedy

A. Marie Kennedy, 89, died at 7:20am Wednesday August 20, 2014, at Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born November 14, 1924, in Brown County, OH, to the late George and Dorothy (Naylor) Dunn. On June 12, 1948, she married Harold F. Kennedy, who preceded her in death on September 3, 2002. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Larry (Sarah) Kennedy, of Yorktown, VA; Richard E. Kennedy, Gualala, CA; and Fred (Alice) Kennedy, of South Salem; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece Carol Dunn, of Dayton, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Cinda Kennedy; and a brother Brice Dunn. Marie was a retired nurse's aide. During WWII, she also worked at the GM plant in Detroit as a "Rosie the Riveter." She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting and she especially liked attending yard sales. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, August 23, in Bellbrook Cemetery, Bellbrook, OH. Friends may call Saturday from 9-11am at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Church Residences, Hospice of Southern Ohio, 681 E. 3rd St., Waverly, OH 45690.
