Alta Kaye Hill, 83, of Chillicothe, died December 17, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 14, 1941, in Columbus, OH, to the late Clarence C. and Alta (Wilt) Vance. On September 11, 1965, she married David D. Hill, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2003.
She is survived by her children: Doug (Stephanie) Hill, of Clear Spring, MD, and Natalie (Steve) Grooms, of Liberty Twp., OH; grandchildren: Allie, Lizzie and Bella Grooms, and Emily, David, Jonathan and Hannah Hill; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Melvin (Evelyn) Vance.
Kaye was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Hamilton Twp. High School, in Columbus, had worked as the office manager for Vitatoe GMC Oldsmobile Dealership, and volunteered at Adena Regional Medical Center. She was an Ohio State Buckeye and avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
Her funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, Dec 21, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Robb Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-2pm Saturday at the funeral home.
