Tracy W. Taylor, 55, of Chillicothe, died 8:45 am, May 18, 2014, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born November 25, 1958 in Indiana, PA to Max B. and Donna S. Smith Taylor. In his early years he resided in Indiana, Dormont and Coudersport, before starting his schooling in the Clarion Limestone school system, graduating in 1976. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army, serving in the United States and Germany. After his tour with the Army, he enrolled in the Cleveland School of Broadcasting, graduating in 1986. During his schooling, September 14, 1985, he married his high school classmate, Jodi A. Baker, daughter of Edward and Irene Baker, of Strattanville, PA. Upon completion of his schooling, he was employed by the WKKJ radio station, Chillicothe.
He is survived by his wife Jodi; son, Zachary (his partner, Elizabeth Tuttle) Taylor; daughter, Melissa “Sweetie” Taylor; son, Zane (his partner, Lindsey Schobelock) Taylor; grandson, Leo Neal; his mother, Donna Taylor; siblings, Vera (David) Philson, Jeffery (Sherry) Taylor, and Patricia (Eddie) Childers; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Vanessa (Mike Uber) Philson, and Donna Philson, Jeanne (Mike Glarich) Taylor, Ian Taylor, and Hannah and Caleb Childers. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Taylor and a nephew, Jesse Taylor.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow, and his ashes will be scattered, with his father’s, at their favorite camp in Cameron Co., PA.
