Joseph L. Brown, 78, of Chillicothe, died 9:53 am, May 15, 2012, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

He was born June 17, 1933 in Chillicothe to the late Arthur and Jessie Lewis Brown. Survivors include a son, Richard Brown, of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Kathryn Fields, of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Joe was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had retired from the Chillicothe Telephone Company. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 62, AMVETS Post 4, and VFW Post 108.

Military graveside honors, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held 11:30 am Monday, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Soldier Square. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite veteran’s charity.
