Danny D. Lemaster, 61, of Chillicothe, died Sunday morning, April 8, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following an extended illness.

He was born August 28, 1950, in Hilliard, OH, to the late Edgar and Imogene (Moore) Lemaster. On September 2, 1972, he married the former Brenda K. Ferguson, who survives.

Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Kristopher (Martha) Lemaster, Circleville; 2 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; a brother and sister-in-law Dallas (Wanda) Lemaster, Hilliard; 2 aunts: Audrey (Tom) Davis, Columbus; Dorothy (Charles) Ross, Flat Gap, KY; an uncle Bruce (Shelly) Lemaster, Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law Lola Ferguson; brothers-in-law Gary (Sue) Ferguson; William Ferguson, all of Flat Gap, KY; a sister-in-law Vivian Davis, Bakersfield, CA; numerous nieces and nephews and many brothers and sisters in Christ. He was predeceased by his parents; his father-in-law Russell Ferguson; a brother-in-law Joe Ferguson; and many aunts and uncles.

Dan graduated from the former Pleasant View High School in 1968 and then graduated from the Ohio State University in 1972 with a degree in Agronomy. He was employed as a soil scientist with the US Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the Andersonville United Methodist Church. He was an avid OSU Buckeye fan; a race car fan, especially outlaw sprints; and loved his blue grass music and playing his banjo. He was a member of the former band the Dry Run Boys.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, April 11, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastors Jim Steele and Jerry Caddell officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00pm in Alton Cemetery, 135 Alton-Darby Creek Rd., Galloway, OH 43119. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
